Bourne, Remy Obscure Numismatic Periodicals 1858-1960, Prototype of Regular Edition (1986 Milwaukee ANA autographed keepsake) August 1986 hardbound 275.00 ~200 a unique and remarkable numismatic literature relic from the 1986 Milwaukee ANA; Bourne was known to keep an "autographed" copy of his auction catalogs when held at a major convention (signed by all the participants he could find), which started in earnest around 1998… or so I thought; turns out, this concept started much earlier - look up your Asylum Journal Vol 4 #3, which includes Bourne's presentation at that NBS meeting - he specifically refers to this exact prototype, which was passed around the room for attendees to view (and sign if they so wished); signatures include Armand Champa, Frank Katen, Laurese Byrd Katen, Pete Smith, Denis Loring, John Huffman, Dan Hamelberg, Vincent Alones, Gordon Frost, Jim Patrick, John Bergman, Paul Bosco, Byron Johnson, Cal Wilson, Kirby Brown, R.W. Julian, etc, ect - perhaps Bourne's first attempt at creating such a keepsake;   [Added later: this was lot #396 of Remy Bourne's sale of 6/13/09, additionally described as "thick paper and interleaved"]
